Paul Rodriguez: Pro Perspective

"I do not strike. It strikes all by itself." - Bruce Lee
I don’t have very many expectations when I do interviews. Usually I just keep my fingers crossed and hope for a quiet place with decent light.
But it’s not every day that I get to sit down and have a conversation with one of the most well recognized and talented skaters of my generation. So I’d be lying if I wrote that I wasn’t hoping for something special with Paul Rodriguez.
So to make things more interesting, a few weeks ago we posted a blog asking the members of SNS and our Facebook fans to submit questions for the interview.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to get to all the questions. But the few answers that Paul had time to give impressed me considerably.
Even though I went into the interview with no expectations, I learned that Paul Rodriguez is a man who appreciates everything he has worked so hard for.
I was even more pleased to learn how he is using his influence and popularity to direct his corporate sponsors into promoting the skateboarding he fell in love with.
If you want to see how good of a skater P-Rod is, just YouTube him. But if you want to see what Paul Rodriguez is like as a person, watch the Pro Perspective below.
Oh yeah, in the spirit of appreciation. I’d like to thank the kind folks at Fuse Marketing and the Green Label Art Shop Series for letting the SNS crew crash the party. I also want to thank Aaron Schultz for being the camera man and for taking so many great shots like the one of P-Rod and I to the right over there. Keep your eye on Aaron’s gallery to see his images from the Dew Tour.
