Thanks to our homie Pat Milbrey and the So-Gnar crew, Ben Pickett worked some backstage magic at this year’s Snowboard on the Rocks. Ben is one of the newest members of the SNS Media Team and put his press pass to good use- getting camera time with Lucas Magoon and Pigeon John.

The SKATEOPOLY Skate Comp is a points series. The more you win the higher your points standings. We started with only 4 stops that turned into now 6 stops with the final stop being in Seaside, OR in August 20th.

Action Photo School is hosting it’s first ever “Slay the Action” photography competition. APS is looking for any and all exciting action sports images. The winning image will be selected based on content matter, composition, lighting, and overall appeal. The top three winners will win prizes from LumiQuest, and the 1st place winner will also have their image showcased on the APS homepage.

LumiQuest creates incredibly lightweight and foldable flash modifiers that we at APS use on almost every shoot. From gels for color effects and light matching, to ultra-portable softboxes that are great for lifestyles and close-up action.

The AUVIQ Photo Collage Contest went off, showing that having a good time with your crew is as much a part of the shred scene as the tricks themselves.

The CRJT finals may have been a few weeks ago, but the city of Portland is still feeling the aftershock of what went down.

Didn’t make it to the event? Just think…30 tons of snow, torrential downpours of rain, heaps of free product, and the best shredders of the Tour. Yeah, it was that good.

Spencer Hunt, aka enjoiboy24, has been a member of SNS since way back in 2009. We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know him through his regular uploads of videos and photos. After his most recent session at the legendary Burnside skatepark, we figured it was about time to shine a little more light on this Portland skater and proud SNS member.

This past weekend BrokeNeck Clothing was invited to the 8th annual Pioneer Street Comp in Oregon City, Oregon.

The BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED classes were so cool and the talent was good to see. We were so happy that two of our own riders placed in the intermediate class; Brian Christina placing second and Ford Bennett placing third. Ethan Van Witt, our little 5 years old shredder, did not place but killed it!

Clint Blackburn was the last person to enter the Crack Grease documentary contest with his video about the joys and pains of urban snowboarding. I’m not normally a fan of cliches, but in this case, Clint saved the best for last.
